Glenlands sets new record at Sellabration Female Night Sale

Joined Droughtmaster females sold to a new breed record $20,000 on Monday evening at the 40th anniversary, 'Sellabration Female Night Sale' at Gracemere.

In a breakdown of the offering 5 cow/calf units averaged $12,400 to top at $16,500 while 17 joined heifers made to a $20,000 high to set a $8147 average and 13 unjoined yearling heifers made to $5500 to set a $4077 average. Two flush packages averaged $5750 to top at $6500 ending in $265,000 gross.

In total 35 females averaged $7242 - a rise of $1223 on average over the previous years average set for females.

Record selling heifer, the $20,000 Glenlands D Mocha (D) a 25-month-old by Glenlands Hatch and tested in calf to Ebony Hills Choirboy sold to the Vitwood Stud, Pialba. Another Hatch daughter Mercedes (P) at 22-months fetched $15,000 going to Lisa Bishop, Gunalda. Top selling cow/calf unit was the 37-month-old Glenlands Lucinda in which Giovanni Investments, Innisfail outlaid $16,500 for a three quarter share.
